Every diver knows the feeling, the thrill as you make that first splash and feel the water swirl around you. A quick adjustment for buoyancy and you start to sink, opening your eyes to a world beneath the waves that few people have ever seen and others would scarcely believe.
It's a feeling we not only appreciate at Star Clipper Holidays but one we love. We have several members of our team who are keen and knowledgeable divers, some are simply amateur enthusiasts while others are fully qualified commercial divers. That is why we are truly pleased, and eager, to provide everyone with the chance to experience for themselves the wonders of the underwater world with a difference! Not only do you get the chance to dive in some of the most beautiful waters in the world but you get to sail on the world’s only natural sailing yacht.
Each Clipper is fully equipped with all the gear needed for a first-class diving establishment. We can cater to all levels of diver with PADI qualified instructors able to take even the most reluctant beginner and turn them into experienced, confident and qualified divers.
For those with more experience SCH ships can take you to a number of secluded and unique Dive Sites that are difficult, if not impossible to reach with other means and we are more than happy to help and assist your dives as best we can. One of our staff, a qualified commercial diver had this to say about some of our dive sites:
“When I first saw the destination that Star Clippers visit, I could barely believe it, there were places on the list I had always wanted to visit. I thought this was something I had to get involved in”
John Fletcher HSE Commercial Diver, PADI Open Water
Not only do we provide unique access to some unforgettable locations but with Star Clipper Holidays you have the peace of mind that comes with knowing we take a commitment to sustainable travel and preserving our oceans very seriously. With our Blue Seas Policy we strive to fight pollution and emissions that directly affect climate change as well as traumatic events in ecosystems such as Coral Bleaching and Reef Death.
On all our dives we maintain a 'Look, Don't Touch' policy regarding delicate or endangered ecosystems.
